PURPOSE:
The uMkhonto weSizwe Party is seeking a skilled Communications Officer: Technical with proven
experience and capacity in videography, photography, and broadcasting. This role involves establishing
and managing the party’s internal multimedia capabilities to ensure high-quality content production and
live streaming for public events and official communications.
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS
- Establish the videography and broadcasting capacity for uMkhonto weSizwe Party.
- Manage broadcast channels across YouTube, Facebook, X, TikTok, and other platforms.
- Design, edit, and prepare official photos and videos for publishing.
- Establish and secure data storage and archiving systems for party content.
- Execute live streaming of uMkhonto weSizwe Party events and gatherings as directed.
- Oversee all photography and videography activities.
- Develop high-quality TV or podcast platforms for the organization.

WORK EXPERIENCE:
- Understanding of merchandise and inventory management best practices
- least 3-5 years of experience in videography, photography, or digital media production,
preferably within a political, nonprofit, or similar organizational setting. - Proven experience in live-streaming events and managing live broadcast equipment.
- Hands-on experience with video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut
Pro) and photo editing tools (e.g., Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom). - Strong portfolio demonstrating a high standard of photography and videography.
- Experience managing social media or online broadcast channels (e.g., YouTube, Facebook
Live, TikTok).
QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- Bachelor’s degree/Diploma in Media Studies, Communications, Digital Media,
Broadcasting, Film, or a related field. Equivalent experience and/or a strong portfolio may
be considered in lieu of formal education.
REQUIREMENTS:
- A Curriculum Vitae (CV) detailing relevant experience and skills.
- A portfolio of previous videography and photography work.
- A costed proposal detailing how they will fulfill the responsibilities and tasks listed above.
