Overview: H.E President Jacob Zuma will address the nation at a pivotal media
conference regarding the current political situation and ongoing developments in
South Africa. The President and the Leadership of the Party will be covering broad
strategic organisational issues, that are vital to the national discourse and the future
trajectory of the Party in the South African political landscape.

Media Attendance: Journalists interested in attending must RSVP by the 21
August 2024 at 16h00. Accreditation details and venue specifics will be provided
upon confirmation of attendance.

Note to Editors:
Media representatives are requested to arrive at least 30 minutes early to complete
security checks. A Q&A session will follow H.E President Zuma’s address.

  • Accreditation must be worn at all times during the event. You will be required to present a piece of Identity Document (ID) in order to collect your accreditation badge.
  • Media are asked to arrive one hour before the event begins for accreditation and any briefings. Audio or visual equipment must be set up a minimum of 30 minutes before the event begins. Media who arrive after the event begins will only be allowed to set up during a break.
  • Video recording equipment is permitted in the uMKHONTO WESIZWE MEDIA room, in a designated fixed location.
  • Media may not move around when the President delivers his speech.
  • Media must wait for a break in the proceedings (i.e. between speakers) before moving equipment.
  • The use of audio recorders is permitted but usage must not be distracting. A sound board will be available for reporters to access an audio feed.
  • If media disrupt the proceedings, they may be asked to leave by the uMKHONTO WESIZWE MEDIA Team.
