The MK Party is elated to announce that Eric Kulani Giyani Nkovani, popularly known as
Papa Penny, has joined our ranks. This notable move comes at a pivotal moment,
particularly as we prepare for our People’s Mandate rally at Orlando Stadium on 18 May 2024.

Papa Penny’s decision to join the MK Party, despite facing significant intimidation
and coercion, including bribes from ANC criminals, underscores the growing
dissatisfaction with the current administration led by President Cyril Ramaphosa.

Papa Penny’s choice to align with MK is far from personal, it is a profound testament to
the collective yearning for change among many South Africans, particularly within the
Limpopo Province. His commitment is a significant gain for the MK Party as he brings
invaluable experience and a deep-rooted connection with the community, especially
the artistic sector, which has long been overlooked.
As we celebrate at our Peoples Mandate rally tomorrow, we are proud to have Papa
Penny—a true man of the people and an influential figure—join us. His participation is
not only a boost to our campaign but also a clear signal that the winds of change are
upon us. His presence at the rally and writhing the province of Limpopo will undoubtedly
inspire and energize thousands of our members and supporters.

In response to this exciting development, the MK Party warmly invites all progressive
artists—singers, actors, and creatives—to join our movement and the MK Creative
Council. Under the leadership of the MK Party, the rights and welfare of artists will be
vigorously championed, ensuring that their contributions to our cultural heritage and
national identity are duly recognized and appreciated.
As the elections approach, we are committed to assembling a coalition of visionary
leaders like Papa Penny, dedicated to spearheading transformative change and
enhancing the well-being of all societal sectors, particularly the artistic community
often sidelined in political discourse.

Together, we envision a future where every South African, especially those who have
enriched our nation through their artistic talents, feels supported and valued. Join us in
realizing this vision and ensuring a robust and inclusive South Africa.
